It needs to be said it's not calories in calories out, this myth needs to die because it completely ignores the endocrine system. I eat more calories now than I ever have and I've lost 27kg with ZERO cardio, just the same light weight training I was already doing. If it was calories in calories out I would have put weight on.

I've been using it as a guideline for several years, while also weight training daily and the fact that you refer to this category of individuals as "been going to the gym and doing iifym for years and looks like they've only made 2 years of progress" for one doesn't apply to me. The issue I can predict you likely were implying that this same population too loosely monitors nutrient intake, which translates to the lack of goal oriented results depicted in the video. As long as the perfect ratios of macro nutrients and not to neglect micronutrients are consumed, according to scientific literature to suite your goals you're within 95% of the capability to hit that goal, this 5% would be those individuals suffering from disease such as hashimotos disease, hypothyroidism, celiacs disease, and ulcerative colitis.

What I find funny is living in a society with people who get their nutrition from bigmacks and drinking soda, then drive to the pharmacy to be injected with a drug to supposedly make them "healthy".. All the while I live my life eating nutrition high foods (Beets, coconut, nutritional yeast, eggs from chickens fed real food, as opposed to cardboard and pesticides).. But I'm somhow the problem? By the very people suffering from degerative, and infective diseases due to turning their organs into dysfunctional cists. If you store energy, you can’t burn it. Insulin is the energy storage hormone and if you’re going around with chronically high insulin the body fat is unavailable for use most of the time. Resting metabolism can be downregulated to somewhere around 600 kcal per day if you are starving. This is why you get this jojo-dieting pattern. What you eat absolutely matters; it affects calories out, not just calories in.
You just need to eat breakfast to stabilise your metabolism.

Actually, there is a lot more nutrition in the burger than the apple at the beginning of the video. The only problem is the burger has bad things in it like added sugar and vegetable oils, and other chemicals that are not good for you. Fruits are not especially nutritious, but they do contain fructose which helps you gain weight. Most people don't understand nutrition very well. They believe what the media, government and medical organizations tell them, which is actually a false representation of what real healthy food is. These organizations work together to put out propaganda that keeps the money rolling in for them, so you get half-truths and lies. Meats are a lot more nutritious that vegetables, but official sources don't tell you that. They want you to avoid meats so you can eat their processed, carbohydrate based foods which cause obesity and disease. Open your mind and do some questioning of official advice. Almost nobody does that, and they pay the price with their health...
